A treatment that simultaneously performs soft nitriding and special oxidation, offering excellent wear resistance, seizure resistance, and corrosion resistance.

"Isonite LS treatment" is an environmentally friendly salt bath soft nitriding/oxidation process. Similar to TF treatment, it generates a compound layer and a diffusion layer while simultaneously forming a composite oxide layer on the very surface just above the compound layer, enhancing various functions. Additionally, it achieves a thicker oxide layer compared to QPQ treatment, significantly improving sliding properties, seizure resistance, and corrosion resistance. What is anodizing (alumite) treatment?

Typically, the thickness ranges from 3 to 12 μm. With hard anodizing, thicknesses of over 50 μm are possible depending on the material.

The process of quickly generating a very thin film of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) by chemically reacting with oxygen in the air is commonly referred to as "anodizing." Formally, it is called aluminum anodic oxidation film, and typically has a thickness of 3 to 12 μm, while hard anodizing can achieve thicknesses of over 50 μm depending on the material. Currently, there is ongoing development of media that can store electronic data in the fine pores (diameter 0.1 μm) that make up the anodized film, drawing attention for uses that differ from the original purpose of the film.
